You can create, edit, and store models composed of stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, and options. This article explains how to create a model and then assign accounts to that model.
Manually Create a Model
Login to CircleBlack Advisor
-
Click on Models in the top navigation tab and then click My Models
-
If you have no Models created, click the “+ New Model” button in the upper right corner
-
The Create New Model page asks you to input the following:
-
Model Name: provide a name unique for the model you are creating
-
Description: provide a brief description of the model you are creating
-
Enter any tags you’d like for that model; in the future, you’ll be able to search for models based on the tags you create.
-
-
Next, scroll down to the bottom of the page to click the (+) Add Securities button to search for and add the securities for the model you’re creating
-
You can search by ticker symbol or by the security name; click the “Add” button for the securities you want to include in your model
-
-
Once you’ve added your securities, input your desired allocation percentages by either typing in the numbers or using the allocation slider.
-
Note: Once you have allocations set and you have a Risk partner integrated, you can click the Analyze Risk button to get the Model’s risk score.
-
-
After you’ve added your securities and created your allocations, click “Save Model”. You’ll get a confirmation that the model has been created; click OK.
View Your Model
View your newly created model at your “My Models” page. Once you’ve created a model, you can do three main things:
-
Assign accounts to that model;
-
Edit the model; or
-
Remove the model.
In order to do all three, from the My Models page, just click anywhere in the row for the model.
