Before accessing CircleBlack and setting up the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud integration within CircleBlack, it is important that the firms’ Salesforce environment is properly configured.  Below are the steps to configure the firm’s Salesforce environment: 

As an administrator within Salesforce, go to Setup → Apps → App Manager → New Connected App: 

Next, the administrator will have to populate the following information to complete the setup: 

  1. Connected App Name: the user can input ‘CircleBlack’
  2. API Name
  3. Contact Email
  4. Enable OAuth Settings: Checked
  5. Callback URL: https://api.circleblack.com/auth/sfs/callback
  6. Selected OAuth Scopes (Please select the following):
    1. Full access (full)
    2. Perform requests on your behalf at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
  7. Require Secret for Web Server Flow: Checked

  • Please note that the firm’s set up may require a “Trusted IP Range for OAuth Web Server Flow”.  If that is the case please reach out to the CircleBlack Client Services or Operations team for assistance. 
  • After pressing Save to store the Connected Apps information, the next step is to go into the CircleBlack Advisor to establish the firm connection.  
  • Tip: Salesforce URL, Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are needed for the CircleBlack Salesforce Financial Services Cloud initial set up.
