After the firm has been enabled to use the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud integration, the Firm Manager can click on Engage tab → Salesforce to begin the setup.
Once the Firm Manager presses the Salesforce button a modal will appear on the screen asking for 3 pieces of information to complete the set up:
Login URL: This will be the URL that is used to access the firm’s Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, an example of this would be: https://mycompany.salesforce.com.
Client ID: This will be the Consumer Key within the Salesforce Connected Apps setup. For more information on how to setup the Salesforce Connected App for the CircleBlack integration, please click here.
Secret: This will be the Consumer Secret key within the Salesforce Connected Apps Setup. For more information on how to setup the Salesforce Connected App for the CircleBlack integration, please click here.
After inputting the required information, pressing the Connect Firm button will initiate the firm connection from CircleBlack to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.
If the connection is successful the Firm Manager will see the following message and data will synced via the nightly processing:
Your firm has been successfully connected to Salesforce Financial Services. Data will now sync between the two services, and your advisors can single sign-on to their individual view of Salesforce right within sBrand Advisor Platform Name].”
If the connection is unsuccessful the Firm Manager will see the following message:
“Your firm was not connected to Salesforce Financial Services. Make sure the correct credentials are entered into the Salesforce popup window and they are confirmed before continuing.”
If the Firm Manager receives this message, please check the Login URL, Client ID and Secret inputs and try again. Also ensure that the Connected App’s Permitted Users policy is set to “all users may self-authorize”. If the Firm Manager is still unable to connect please reach out to the CircleBlack Client Services or Operations team for assistance.
Data Sync
The Data Sync will occur during the nightly process and will continue to update from CircleBlack into Salesforce Financial Services Cloud on a nightly basis. The following CircleBlack information will be sent to Salesforce Financial Services Cloud:
