Customizing the Activation Email

After clicking the Activate button, you will be taken to the Activate Household page where you can customize the invitation email your clients will receive from you.

Note: when activating a household or re-sending the activation email, the “Activate Household” page will always function the same way.

  • First, the household’s email will default to whoever the head of household’s client email is. If the head of household does not have an email, type in the household email.

  • Next, edit the “Email From:” name. It will default to the Advisor’s name but you can also edit the name.

    • Note: the email sent will always come from the address “mailing@circleblack.com”

  • Edit or update the Client Name from the Client Name field.

    • Note: this will automatically insert the client name

  • Optional: create a temporary password for their household client to login with, or to have the client set up their own password.

For the email itself, you can choose to include your logo, edit the email subject line, and most importantly create your own custom message. The default email will be CircleBlack's standard welcome email which you can use, edit, or delete altogether. Make sure to keep or include the login instructions: the Household’s Unique Link or the Investor portal website.

Furthermore, you to include any disclosures if required.

When the email is drafted, preview it by clicking the “Preview Email” button. To edit something, click “Edit Email” and go back to the “Activate Household” page to edit the email body.

When you’re ready to go, click Send Email

  • Note, you’ll be copied on the activation email so you’ll see when it’s been delivered.
