Remove Clients from a Household

Clients in a household can be removed from a household. Clients removed from a household simply go back to the list of clients that are not mapped to a household. This functionality is useful if you are creating a Household and decide that you did not want a client in a particular household. Any client that is removed from a household can be used to a create a new household or added to another existing household.

Some key notes include:

  • the move clients functionality only applies to Households with two or more clients

  • the Head of Household client cannot be removed

  • clients that have Yodlee accounts cannot be moved as they are linked via the Yodlee integration

There are two flows for moving clients: 1) Manage > Clients Page and 2) Household Info Page

Flow 1: Manage > Clients

  1. Click Manage, then Clients. On the Clients page, click the Actions dropdown and select Remove Clients from Household.

  2. Then, search among the list of Clients to move. Clients can be part of an existing household or not yet mapped to a Household. Select the Clients to move and then click the Select New Household button.

  3. The complete the client move, following the same steps described above for either creating a new household or adding to an existing household.

Flow 2: Household Info Page

  1. From any existing Household’s dashboard, locate the Household Info tile and click the tile’s expand icon to view the Household Info page.

  2. On the Household Info Page, click the Actions dropdown and select the Remove Clients from Household option. Select the client(s) to move. Note: in this functionality, you cannot move all clients from a household.

  3. The complete the client move, following the same steps described above for either creating a new household or adding to an existing household.
