Move Accounts from a Client
Accounts can be moved from one client to another client. A common use case is when employer-sponsored 401k accounts come into CircleBlack from a custodian feed and are mapped to a “client” that is the plan sponsor – not the actual client the 401k belongs to. Some key notes include:
-
Yodlee accounts cannot be moved
-
If there are multiple Advisors on the account being moved, the same advisors on the account become advisors on the new client and household to which the account was moved.
There are two flows for moving accounts: 1) Manage → Accounts page; 2) Client Info Page
Flow 1: Manage → Accounts page

Click Manage, then Accounts. On the Accounts page, click the Actions dropdown and select Map to Existing Client.
