If entitled, Advisors creating Managed Assets can set the Managed/Unmanaged status for the manually created assets at the time of creation. Otherwise, the Managed Asset is set to the Firm’s default status designated for Manual Accounts.

Manual Accounts and Aggregated (Yodlee) Accounts added by the Investor through the Investor Platform always default to Unmanaged. Once they are shared with the Advisor, they could be changed to Managed depending on the Firm’s default settings or manually by specially entitled Advisors. If a Manual Account or Aggregated Account previously shared is unshared by the Investor, the account is automatically be set to Unmanaged.
